COMPOST KIDS FACILITATORS NEEDED!
Spring Dates: (Tuesdays) April 2, 9, 16, and 23 and May 7, 14 and 21
Time: 8:30am - 12:30pm
Volunteer facilitators are needed for Civic Garden Center’s Compost Kids field trip for students in grades K – 6 (ages 5-12).
Facilitators lead one of the field trip stations on composting, nature exploration, pollinators or herb gardening and planting seeds. The field trip is 2.5 hrs long and volunteers are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the field trip begins to help set up. Schools will book to arrive between 9 – 10 am and then finish up between 11:30 – 12:30 pm. An ideal volunteer would be available for multiple dates but you do not need to help with all the field trips.
Our volunteer facilitator training is on Tuesday, March 19th from 10 am – 12 pm. Background checks are required for volunteers.
