Hi! We are GlobeMed at UC, a social justice & non-profit organization on campus. We fundraise for a non-profit organization named Social Action for Children & Women (SAW) located in Mae Sot, Thailand. SAW provides education, housing, and health education to Burmese migrants & refugees fleeing the political crisis in Myanmar.
We will be writing hand-written letters to family/friends/faculty/mentors to ask for donations. The money will go directly to Burmese migrants & refugees living in rural Thailand to provide health education on topics such as family planning, reproductive health, and seasonal diseases.
There will be 2 letter-writing parties:
1) Sunday, November 5th from 4-5:30 PM at the AACRC (We will be doing a potluck, so please feel free to bring food!)
2) Wednesday, November 8th from 4-6 PM at the in the Right Scioto Study lounge.
