Description

The WWC has a number of beautiful wooded properties along the Ohio River, West of downtown Cincinnati.  One of our biggest tasks is removing invasive plants such as honeysuckle, so that native plants including wildflowers can return.  This is physical outside work, cutting honeysuckle, and putting the cut honeysuckle into large piles.  This is a perfect time of year to do this work.  It is cool enough to wear protective long sleeves and long pants.  And we get to the honeysuckle right as it starts to grow again.

We have done a number of these projects so far this Winter/Spring with great success!

A detailed description of the actual honeysuckle removal work is attached.

This work will be at our Whitetail Woods Preserve in Saylor Park.  We will meet at the gravel parking area on Hillside Road in front of Setco Manufacturing just west of Bender Road.  The address for SETCO is 5880 Hillside Ave, 45233.
