Western Wildlife Corridor
A nonprofit land trust, 30 years old, about 500 members, protect a number of significant preserves along the Ohio River on the West side of Cincinnati. We have a nature center, and are a growing and well respected nature organization.
We preserve and protect the scenic beauty and natural environment of the Ohio River Valley from the Mill Creek to the Indiana line. We acquire and protect land, remove invasive species, and promote responsible land use. We create nature preserves and build trail systems for public use, and promote nature conservation through education programs.
We especially need help in clearing invasive plants (honeysuckle, for example), and building trails. An excellent description of what to expect in doing Habitat Restoration can be found here:
We encourage you to read this to learn more about the experience!
