Description

We will be removing honeysuckle, an invasive plant, from one of our key preserves, the Kirby Nature Preserve in Addyston, Ohio.  Meet at our Nature Center (2 E Main St, Addyston) at 9:30 am on December 12 (Saturday) for about 2 hours of work.  Physical work in the woods!  Cutting and piling up the honeysuckle, clearing the woods so that native plants can return.

This is a beautiful place and it gets so much better as we remove these invasive plants, and permit native vegetation to return in all its glory!

We have had a number of these projects, successfully, with UC students over the past several years.  This is perfect weather for such work.  Cool enough for long sleeves and long pants.  Wear sturdy shoes and clothes you can get dirty.

Spend time outdoors!
