We will be removing honeysuckle, an invasive plant, from one of our key preserves, the Kirby Nature Preserve in Addyston, Ohio. Meet at our Nature Center (2 E Main St, Addyston) at 1 pm on Tuesday November 24 for about 2 hours of work. Physical work in the woods! Cutting and piling up the honeysuckle, clearing the woods so that native plants can return.
We have had a number of these projects, successfully, with UC students over the past several years. This is perfect weather for such work. Cool enough for long sleeves and long pants. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes you can get dirty.
Sorry about the late notice! Thanksgiving respite!
