GiGi's Playhouse Cincinnati

  • Supporting Individuals with Disabilities

About our Organization

GiGi's Playhouse Cincinnati is a Down syndrome achievement center that offers FREE educational and therapeutic-based programs for individuals of all ages with Down syndrome and their families. We make a lifetime commitment to our families, supporting them from prenatal diagnosis through adulthood.

How our organization engages UC students

At GiGi's Playhouse Cincinnati, we offer University of Cincinnati students a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful volunteer work that directly supports individuals with Down syndrome. Through hands-on experience with group programs or 1:1 Literacy tutoring, students can apply their skills in areas such as education, therapy, and social work, while helping participants develop essential language, motor skills, and social skills that can be life-changing. Student volunteers can expect to build a foundation of empathy, leadership, and community engagement, making a lasting impact while developing skills they can carry forward in their careers.
