Event Description:
Celebrate historic farm life and discover Butler County's thriving farming communities of today at Fun on the Farm. Shop local vendors, see interactive homesteading demonstrations like blacksmithing, beekeeping, foraging, and much more. Tour the Augspurger House with the Friends of Chrisholm and learn about the unique history of this special 1800's farmstead. Visit with MetroParks' superstar farm animal ambassadors as well as special guest animals from around the area, take a wagon ride and much more!
Task:
We are looking for Volunteers to support this year's Fun on the Farm at Chrisholm Historic Farmstead and MetroPark The role varies depending on interest and capabilities but ranges from supporting craft stations to demonstration stations, wagon ride monitors, and more!
Once you sign up we will reach out directly to find which role makes the most sense for you! Volunteers must be comfortable interacting with the public.
Weather:
We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
