Description

We have two goals in mind, the first is to weed a small native garden. The second is to collect native seeds from a the wildflower field buffer. The seeds will then be provided to the public free of charge.

The native garden we will be weeding is actually a rain garden. This is a planted depression designed to capture rain water and allow it to naturally soak into the groundwater. Along with weeding, we may dig out some of the native plants and pot them to hand out at our pollinator fest in September.

Both the rain garden and field buffer are located next to our office in Hamilton.

Restrooms and parking are available onsite.

What to bring: Gardening equipment if you have it. If not, we have clean gloves and tools for you to borrow.
