Event Description:
Water isn't just fun to play in, it can also tell you a lot about our environment. Join MetroParks and Butler Soil and Water Conservation District for our fourth summer creek exploration! We'll find out about our watershed and the creatures that call Dry Fork Creek home. We'll supply everything you need to explore the water, the creek's fossils and aquatic wildlife.
Task:
Volunteers will support staff in the transporting of creeking supplies, helping keep the group together, and interacting with program participants.
No prior experience is required, knowledge of native plants, animals, insects, and minerals is a plus

We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
