Date & Duration: Saturday, June 1, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm (or project completion)
Meeting Location: Rentschler Forest MetroPart - TImberhill Area, 5400 Timberhill Dr., Hamilton OH 45011 (There will be signage directing Volunteers to the job site)
Tasks: This Summer the MetroParks will be getting a new public mural painted on the Kestrel Shelter at Forest Run MetroPark! We need your help to prepare the shelter for the artist as we prep and prime the shelter wall for the artist.
What to Wear & Bring:
- 'painting' clothes (long sleeve shirts and long pants are preferred)
- Sturdy, closed-toed shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing and layers (Warm jacket, rain jacket, hat, extra layer, etc.)
- Sunglasses (Optional; For sun protection during outside activities.)
- Work gloves (Optional; Available through MetroParks.)
- Water bottle (we will have a refill station avalible)
- Snacks
- MetroParks will provide all other tools necessary to complete the tasks for the day.
Weather: We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations: The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
