Join the Cincinnati Chapter of Ballet & Books as an Dance Teaching Assistant!
Ballet & Books is a National nonprofit reducing the literacy gap through the hybrid storytelling of literacy and dance. Our chapters are run by college students at universities around the country (Duke, Princeton, Cornell, UMICH, etc.).
The Cincinnati chapter of Ballet & Books meets to put on free dance and literacy programming for children at the Walnut Hills Branch Library from 12pm-1:30pm for 8 Saturdays each semester (Fall and Spring). In addition to attending programming to support Mentors and Dance Teachers, board members meet weekly for E-board meetings.
Weekly programming consists of 45 minutes of dance class and 45 minutes of 1-on-1 when each child (Mentee) is paired with the same college student Mentor each week to do literacy skill building activities from our curriculum.
