Event Description:
Join us for a fun and immersive way to celebrate the solar eclipse on April 8th We'll learn about the science behind the eclipse, enjoy hands-on activities, and of course, have a front-row seat to this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Task:
We are looking for volunteers to help monitor the Spring House parking lots at Forest Run MetroPark to ensure people are directed to their reserved spots and to help prevent spots aren't taken by those who didn't pre-register. You will also hand out eclipse glasses, and a small goodie bag to participants. All volunteers will be given free admission to the Eclipse program, a pair of eclipse glasses, as well as a parking spot.
VOLUNTEERS BETWEEN 14 AND 17 YEARS OLD MUST HAVE THEIR PARENTS FILL OUT A YOUTH WAIVER TO VOLUNTEER

Special Notes
Due to the 'Once-in-a-lifetime' nature of this program please give yourself plenty of time to get to the park for your shift as traffic may be bad.
We also encourage you to bring a packed lunch and drinks, sunscreen, bug spray or anything else you may need for the day we will only have snacks avalible and spots to fill up water bottles.
Weather:
We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
