Each year in the spring a group of volunteers help to maintain a special grove of Japanese Sakura trees in Ault Park. The project is supported by the Cincinnati Park Board, which supplies mulch and rakes, and the Japan America Society of Greater Cincinnati.
The annual tree care event -- now in its 16th year -- helps ensure that the paths around the trees are safe and dry so that the grove can be enjoyed by spring picnickers and others who wish to visit the grove when the trees are in bloom. Suggestions:
-Wear comfortable clothes that are ok to get dirty
-Wear boots or other shoes that can get we
-Bring garden gloves, and a refillable water bottle (if you like)
