Help our Parks team prepare Lytle Park for Opening Day Parade!!
Newly renovated Lytle Park will look incredible with a fresh layer of mulch - just in time for the thousands who attend festivities for the Red's Opening Day!
Be prepared for the weather, wear long pants and layers (long sleeves), close-toed shoes are required. Gloves recommended, there will be a limited supply on site. Suggested: refillable water bottle - there will be water cooler on site for volunteers to fill a bottle. Cincinnati Parks discourages single - use plastics.
Volunteers will use pitchforks to load mulch in to wheelbarrows and heavy rakes to distribute the mulch around the trees. Parks staff and our experienced volunteers will provide orientation and guidance through the process. Loppers and handsaws will be used to cut back invasive plants. Litter sticks and buckets/bags will be used to remove litter.
