What is NERDS?
NERDS stands for Nurturing Education Readiness and Development from Start. It's a local nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering students and fostering their curiosity for learning through robotics and education programs. Our Mission: Together, we will empower, educate, and elevate the lives of those we serve through the NERDS Student Organization.
Why Join the NERDS Student Organization?
Volunteer Development: We are seeking a minimum of 10 passionate students to create a dynamic student organization that will collaborate closely with the NERDS nonprofit. As a member, you'll have the opportunity to recruit, develop, and cultivate volunteers within our community.
Facilitate Learning: Make a real difference in the lives of PK-12 students by facilitating NERDS learning opportunities, sparking their interest in robotics, and inspiring a lifelong love for STEM subjects.
Fundraising: Help us raise essential funds to support our organization's initiatives and provide opportunities for underprivileged students who may not have access to educational resources.
Indirect Services: Contribute your skills in areas like technology, marketing, event planning, and more to support the operations of the NERDS nonprofit.
Service-Learning Opportunities: Gain hands-on experience and develop leadership skills through service-learning projects that will enrich your personal and professional development.
