Sunday, March 3 | 1pm - 3pm
This Sunday we will work on litter pick up and mulching tree rings and some honeysuckle removal.
McEvoy Park, located in College Hill, is a 27-acre park with wooded acreage, meadows, athletic fields, and a shelter. This park has become a popular spot for ATV use and as a result, the woodland areas have become trashed, and some portions of the park destroyed.
McEvoy CPAC is committed to improving the conditions of the park and working to schedule programs and activities for the community in the park.
The first series of volunteer opportunities will focus on litter cleanup to prepare for a fall event along a short portion of the trail. Eventually, the CPAC intends to organize a series of restorative efforts to repair trails, improve signage and hopefully mitigate dangerous and destructive activity in the park.
