We are in need of a work crew to help us manage weeds, tidy some of our decorative beds and help us prepare our orchard and garden areas for fall and winter.
We will have volunteers on site to help with direction and can also provide basic education on the garden, different species of plants, etc. if there is interest.
Work will likely include:
- Pulling invasive grass from shrubbery
- Pulling weeds in the garden area
- Laying cardboard and mulch in our orchard area
- General tidying and preparing the garden for winter by cutting back stalks of plants
Participants may want to bring:
- long sleeved shirts and pants, as the weeds can be scratchy
- clippers or other trimming tools if they have them (but not necessary)
- water bottle
We can provide:
- Work gloves
- Hand towels and other digging implements.
