Teen Time Hangouts is an in-person social group designed to give teens (ages 13-18) with autism opportunities to interact with peers, play games, practice social skills, build friendships, and have FUN! The program takes place on the second Friday of each month at Linden Grove School (4122 Myrtle Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45236). Transportation is needed to and from Linden Grove School, and travel time is included in volunteer hours.
At Teen Time, volunteers will work directly with teens with autism by assisting Autism Connections staff to facilitate the 3 program activities, including a craft, a sensory activity, and a physical activity.
We have a short (<30 minutes) set of Volunteering Training Videos that we ask you to complete before you volunteer with us. By clicking this Volunteer Checklist Form, you will be redirected to an online form. In the form, there is a link to the Volunteer Training Video (17 minutes), which all volunteers should watch. After this, you should watch the video for the program that you will volunteer for, whether this is Teen Time Hangouts (6 minutes) or Kids Exploring Fun (5 minutes), both of which are linked in the form. We will provide 1 hour of volunteer time for completing the volunteer videos and filling out the Volunteer Checklist Form.
