Every month, volunteers can support MetroParks staff at one of our 14 parks! During these volunteer days, you will assist staff with various tasks around the park, from picking up litter and mulching to clearing invasives and performing trail Maintenance.

  •  Task: Volunteers will assist Natural Resources with the clearing of invasive species in the Locust Grove Woodlot at Timberman Ridge - Forest Run MetroPark
  • Meeting Location: 1976 Timberman Rd, Hamilton OH 45013
  • What to Wear & Bring:
    • Long pants
    • Sturdy, close-toed shoes
    • Weather-appropriate clothing and layers (Warm jacket, rain jacket, hat, extra layer, etc.)
      • Please wear “yard work” clothing and shoes you would not mind getting dirty! 
    • Sunglasses or protective glasses (Optional; protective eyewear will be available through MetroParks.)
    • Water bottle
    • Snacks (Some snacks will be available through MetroParks.)
    • MetroParks will provide all protective equipment and tools necessary to complete the tasks for the day.
  • Weather: Please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing. We will work through light rain but will cancel if there is any extreme or dangerous weather. If the event is canceled, you will be contacted no later than 8:00 AM on the day of.
