COMMUNITY WORK DAY

Join Owl's Nest community volunteers for a large effort project to prepare the park for summer events!
All materials will be provided.

Volunteers will work in 4 groups focusing on tasks such as mulching, clearing brush along the fence line. Pitchforks will be used to load mulch into wheelbarrows and heavy rakes to distribute the mulch and wood chips around the the trees and designated areas throughout the park. Litter sticks, buckets and bags will be used to remove litter and debris from areas. Lopper and handsaws will be used to remove invasive plants to clear sight lines. Parks staff and our experienced volunteers will provide orientation and guidance through the process.
Volunteers should be prepared for the weather, wear long pants and layers (long sleeves), close-toed shoes are required. Gloves recommended, there will be a limited supply on site. Suggested: refillable water bottle - there will be water cooler on site for volunteers to fill a bottle.
Cincinnati Parks discourages single - use plastics.
