Tutors Needed!
Fairview-Clifton German Language School is looking to launch a 12 week tutoring pilot program (before school). This program will invite families of Fairview students who have been selected by their teachers to register and attend, and it's these students who we are looking for you, our potential volunteers, to support! Best part is we are just down the road from campus, on Clifton Avenue.
The program will be:
- Wednesday & Thursday mornings from 8:00-8:45am
- Students that have been identified by their grade level teachers as in need of additional academic support, most of which will pertain to Maths and ELA work
- Last 12 weeks (13 including spring break) from Jan 31-Apr 27
Ideally we will recruit volunteers who will be available to come consistently on their preferred day (e.g. Wednesdays) for the 12 week period. Volunteers are welcome to sign-up for more than one day, but it is not necessary. By committing to come consistently on your selected day(s), it allows for consistency and relationship building with the students, two very important elements when motivating youth. If there is a date you need to miss you can notify us and we will plan accordingly around that.
