Join us for a free Community Day at Kennedy Heights Arts Center on Saturday, June 25 from 11am to 3pm.
Three local artists will share their creative talents to make “A Colorful World!” With the help of local residents, Adoria Maxberry will be painting a colorful, interactive streetscape, while artist Ke’Monte Figgs will be creating a vivid sundae bar inspired by his original storytelling showcased in his children’s book Dreams, Art, and Success. To show off your sundae creations, Ke’Monte will illustrate a vibrant cutout as a unique photo opportunity. Fun make-and-take stations will be led by artist Brent Billingsley where you may customize some of your own clothing (bring an item from home!) or you can grab a free tote bag or bandana (while supplies last) to decorate. Enjoy free music from DJ Arie, grab some food, and play yard games.
“A Colorful World!” Community Day will be held outdoors on the lawn of the Kennedy mansion, 6546 Montgomery Road. Rain date is Sunday, June 26th..
