Work with Parks staff to guide a Girl Scout Troop on a bulb planting & mulching project at Bettman Nature Preserve. This small, secluded preserve is just a few minutes from campus, tucked away in the neighborhood of O'Bryonville.
Volunteers will use pitchforks to load mulch into wheelbarrows, hard rakes to distribute mulch around tree rings and in floral beds throughout the park.
Volunteers should be prepared for the weather (layered or lightweight clothing), wear long pants. Close-toed and sturdy hard sole shoes are required. Recommended: Work gloves (if you own them), sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle. There will be work gloves available to borrow. Cincinnati Parks discourages single use plastics.
