Fortified Hill is a 2,000 year old Hopewell cultural site. The property was purchased and then donated to Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park & Museum by the Harry T. Wilks Family Foundation in 2019. A groundswell of community support is helping Pyramid Hill in its efforts to prepare the site for the public, with hiking trails and educational signage.
Volunteers will meet up at the Visitor Center at 9:45am on the morning of the 11th before proceeding to the site as a group. We ask that volunteers bring their own tools and safety equipment like close-toed shoes, gloves, hedge trimmers, etc. Volunteers will be required to sign liability waivers before beginning work. Because this is a sacred site, we also ask that volunteers be respectful and mindful of their actions here.
