Assist Parks staff with invasive plant removal at Jackson Hill Park. This will help improve the ecological health of the park, increase sight lines and safety of the park, and provide easier access for staff to mow and care for the park.
Volunteers will use loppers and or handsaws to cut back honeysuckle plants and stack or drag the cut brush. There may also be painting of picnic tables, and litter clean up. Please wear suitable clothes.
- Close-toed shoes and face covering are required.
- Long pants, layered clothing appropriate to the weather.
- Recommended: Hat, sunscreen & a water bottle.
- We will have latex gloves for you if you do not have your own.
Staff will stop their work to meet you, please be on time and if you are not able to make it call or text ASAP so staff can be notified:
Regarding Covid-19:
In efforts to stop the spread, for the safety of our staff, volunteers and community please consider the following guidelines:
- Please take your temperature within 4 hours of the start of the project. If your temperature is higher than 100.4*, do not attend. Call or text Christyl @ 513.240.5735 to alert staff that you will not be present.
- Do not participate If you or someone in your home is symptomatic (e.g., fever, cough, shortness of breath), or if someone you’ve come into close contact with is under investigation or diagnosed with a laboratory-confirmed case of COVID-19.
- Please use face covering and practice social distancing at all times while on the site.
- Please use gloves at all times to handle the tools and equipment.
