Marjorie Book Continuing Education brings teenagers and adults with and without disabilities together for projects of mutual interest and fun. We have proudly produced full length theater productions for the community for more than 25 years. We welcome volunteers who can help at our rehearsals; helping behind the scenes at one rehearsal or many rehearsals can boost the quality of our shows and the confidence level of our actors.
We will be rehearsing the play, The Admirable Crichton, by J.M. Barrie, the same playwright who wrote Peter Pan. The simplest description of the plot would be, consider a cross between Downton Abby and Gilligan's Island. We would welcome volunteer help on any night. There are almost always actors who are looking for people to run lines with them. We also often need people to stand in for an actor who might be missing on a given night and to help with minor clerical tasks.
Our play rehearsals will be outside this year, with masks, although we have the Little Brothers building as a place to go if it rains. Feel free to send an email to marjoriebook1993@gmail.com to check whether we will be meeting indoors or outdoors on a given day.
