An opportunity to send a smile through artistic expression. Help us make 500 cards! Donate your time and creativity to make handmade cards and send them to Cards for Hospitalized Kids to distribute in hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses across the nation. Write an uplifting message to share with children. At the request of hospitals, please do not to write "Get well", "Feel Better" or other illness related comments. Instructions:
- When creating the card nothing is excessive to the point of falling off.
- Poems, jokes, art, or any other creative, uplifting, positive messages are great.
- Sign your first name on the card. You can also sign your state and UC student, such as "Katie from Nebraska, UC Student", if you wish to.
- At the request of the hospitals please do not write "feel better" or "get well soon"
If you live in Cincinnati, Cards can be dropped in the dropbox to the right of the door of the Center for Community Engagement at 2639 Clifton Ave., in Stratford Heights building 19. If you plan on dropping off your card, it needs to be in the box by January 31. If you do not live in Cincinnati, the cards should be mailed to 2658 Bellevue Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219. If you plan on mailing your card, it needs to be in the mail to ensure they arrive on time. 1 service hour per card, a limit of 3 hours per volunteer.
