Description

Guiding Light Mentoring is seeking a Social Media Manager Volunteer for the duration of the spring semester.  Hours are flexible and you can work remote. If interested, please email us at info@guidinglightmentoring or contact Latisha Owens at (513) 541-9777.

Social Media Manager Description:

  • Manage and oversee all social media platforms/content
  • Manage and create content for company's newsletters
  • Create marketing content and strategies for company events/programs
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

 

Social Media Manager requirements and qualifications:

  • Experience using social media for brand awareness and impressions
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, publishing, and web development
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Seeking degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations or a related field
