Join the Center for Community Engagement and Keep Cincinnati Beautiful to be part of the Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP). The NEP coordinates and integrates services and community redevelopment efforts with a 90-day focus on one neighborhood in the city. Efforts this semester will be focused on the West Price Hill neighborhood to meet community-identified needs through the nationally acclaimed NEP program.
Projects include everything from painting, to planting flowers, to general neighborhood clean-up. Learn more about the NEP on the City of Cincinnati's website.
Here's how the Spring Neighborhood Enhancement Program will work:
- Meet on campus at McMicken Circle at 8:30a. Buses will leave promptly.
- When you arrive, you'll check in with the Center for Community Engagement then choose a specific project.
- To choose a project, find a Team Leader and sign up with them. Remember your project letter.
- We will be back on campus by 2:30p (6 hours of off campus community service).
- Free lunch! Vegetarian options available, but if you have special dietary needs, please plan ahead.
- Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes! Long pants are recommended and required for some projects. The event will be held rain or shine.
