Looking for energetic people who love to help seniors in their community!
Shared Harvest Foodbank needs, 1-2 volunteers each month to assist in loading premade food boxes into the cars of seniors as part of our CSFP program.
The CSFP program is where seniors over the age of 60 who make less than $1,300 per month can apply for food assistance. Shared Harvest Currently has 1,800 seniors signed up!
That’s where you come in! We need help at our “Drive-thru” Distribution at the Middletown Bus Terminal at the corner of S. Broad Street and Reynolds Street in downtown Middletown. Here we have two “drive-thru” lines of seniors who have already signed up for the boxes.
Your task will be to carry the boxes of food from the tailboard of the truck and place in the cars for the seniors. Due to the nature of this task we ask that you be able to lift at least 25 pounds for up to two hours. Also, this task runs in all weather as food is a necessity for life! As such please dress accordingly to be outdoors! If you have any questions, please contact us!
