Join us on Thursday, October 17 from 8:30a - 1:00p to beautify historic Warsaw Avenue!
The Center for Community Engagement has teamed up with Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, Price Hill Will, the Cincinnati Police Department, and the City of Cincinnati's Neighborhood Enhancement Program to beautify Warsaw Avenue in historic East Price Hill.
Here are the key details...
- TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED to and from campus thanks to the Cincinnati Police!
- FREE LUNCH off the grill thanks to Price Hill Will!
- Various BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS to clean and green Warsaw Avenue
- PAINTING, PLANTING, LITTER PICK-UP, and other beautification tasks will help create positive momentum in an awesome neighborhood!
The schedule for the day...
- 8:30a -- Meet at McMicken Circle, near the fountain outside of University Pavilion and McMicken Hall (HERE)
- Check in with the Center for Community Engagement
- Board a Cincinnati Police van for transportation to and from campus
- 8:45a -- Travel to East Price Hill
- 9:00a -- Arrive at the neighborhood fire station in East Price Hill, split into teams and start service projects
- Complete service projects from about 9:00a - 12:00/12:30p
- 12:00/12:30p -- Free lunch from the grill to be served and enjoyed behind the East Price Hill branch of the public library
- 1:00p -- Arrive back on campus after a job well done!
The event will be held rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Wear closed toed shoes and bring a water bottle.
