The University of Cincinnati's National Society of Black Engineers chapter is hosting our annual event STEMFest! STEMFest is a festival where various STEM-based student organizations host tables/booths to showcase how they are involved in STEM. In addition, there will be some interactive science experiments or engineering challenges for students to have a better understanding and get further experience in STEM. This is event is targeted for K-12 students, but all ages are welcome.
We are looking for volunteers to help make this event great! Volunteers will be asked to be present from 8 AM-1 PM to do things like help the chapter and students organizations with set up, prepare experiments/engineering challenges, host a table with an experiment/challenge, show parents and students where to go, and clean up after the event. Transportation and breakfast will be provided for volunteers. This event counts for 5 HOURS of STEM community service and counts for service hours to go towards Cincinnatus and other scholarships.
STEMFest will take place on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 from 9 AM-12 PM at William H. Taft Elementary School. If you can join us, we would love your help!
