Seeking driving and riding UC students work with Girl Scout Staff as a team to facilitate Girl Scout curriculum to serve a group of 18-20 girls in K-6 grades. Receive 15 hours of service for this opportunity:
- 7 meetings + 1 hr training + 15 min wkly prep
- This opportunity is open to male and/or female UC students
- To be eligible, UC students need a social security number to apply for their background check which is financed by Girl Scouts
You will along with Girl Scout Staff & other UC students work with girls on teaching girls how to tell their story with hands-on activities.
- Hands on activities for It's Your Story Tell it include:
- making sock puppets & learning how to put on a play
- singing songs and playing team building games
- learning about different countries
- Brazil - making masks
- Japan - learning origami
- Italy - creating mosaics
- making flower power headbands & learning how to take a stand
- and much more
- Prepared meeting outlines and supplies provided
- Coaching and training provided by Girl Scout Staff
- 1 Hr training @ Panera Bread in Clifton with Girl Scout Staff
- Girl Scout staff will send on-line Girl Scout registration and background check which is financed by Girl Scouts
Your Girl Scout Staff & UC team members will work with your group of girls for bi-weekly commitment:
- TUESDAYS Meeting Dates: Feb 26, Mar 5, 19, Apr 2, 9, 16
- Leave UC: 1:30 PM
- Arrive Westwood Elementary: 2 PM
- Set up for Meeting: 2-2:15 PM
- Meet Time: 2:15-3:45 PM
- Pick up by Parents: 3:45 - 4 PM
- Return to UC: 4:30 PM
