Description

Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing loneliness and isolation among older adults through friendship, celebration, and community. Behind every successful event is a team of volunteers who help create a warm, welcoming environment where older adults can connect with others and feel valued.

As an Event & Program Support Volunteer, you'll assist with a variety of behind-the-scenes and day-of-event activities that help our programs run smoothly. This role is perfect for volunteers who want to make a difference without needing to drive an elderly friend to an event

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Setting up and cleaning up before and after events
  • Greeting participants and helping them feel welcome
  • Assisting older adults with food, beverages, and seating
  • Preparing materials or supplies for programs
  • Packing items for holiday or seasonal deliveries
  • Helping staff with general event logistics
  • Supporting other special projects as needed

Every event is different, so responsibilities may vary depending on the program and your interests.

Ideal Volunteers

  • Enjoy working with people.
  • Like being part of a team.
  • Are flexible and willing to help where needed.
  • Want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults.

Whether you're helping prepare for a holiday celebration or serving refreshments at Movie Night, your support helps create joyful experiences and reminds older adults that they are valued, remembered, and connected to their community.
