Help older adults stay connected to their community.
Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing loneliness and isolation among older adults through friendship, celebration, and community. Many of the older adults we serve would be unable to participate in our programs without reliable transportation, and that's where our volunteer drivers make a lasting difference.
As a Volunteer Driver, you'll provide transportation for older adults to and from LBFE programs and special events. These may include:
- Art Group
- Movie Night
- Holiday Parties
- Seasonal Celebrations
- Community Outings
- Other social gatherings throughout the year
More than simply providing a ride, you'll help ensure our older friends can remain engaged, build meaningful connections, and enjoy experiences that might otherwise be out of reach.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Drive older adults safely to and from LBFE events.
- Assist participants with entering and exiting your vehicle as needed.
- Provide a welcoming, friendly, and respectful experience.
- Communicate with LBFE staff regarding scheduling or any concerns.
Ideal Volunteers
- Enjoy meeting new people.
- Have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Are dependable and comfortable driving throughout the Cincinnati area.
- Believe everyone deserves connection and companionship as they age.
