Position Overview
Oriental Wellness is ACA’s initiative to promote traditional Asian health and wellness practices — including acupuncture, herbal medicine, bodywork therapy, dietary therapy, and mind-body exercises — as part of a holistic approach to health and cross-cultural exchange. This project bridges traditional wisdom with modern wellness trends, creating programming, content, and partnerships that elevate Oriental medicine in the U.S. market.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research on traditional Asian medicine practices and their integration into Western wellness markets
Develop educational content — articles, social media posts, newsletters, and videos — on Oriental wellness topics
Assist in planning wellness events, workshops, and practitioner networking sessions
Build relationships with acupuncture clinics, herbalists, wellness centers, and holistic health practitioners
Support the creation of a wellness directory or resource hub for ACA members
Track industry trends and identify partnership and sponsorship opportunities
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Public Health, Traditional Medicine, Holistic Health, Communications, or a related field
Strong interest in integrative health, wellness, and cross-cultural medicine
Excellent research and writing skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Knowledge of or experience with acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), or Asian bodywork is a plus
Bilingual in an Asian language is an advantage
