Position Overview
The Asia Chamber of America is pursuing a strategic partnership with the United Nations to advance sustainable development, cross-border cooperation, and inclusive economic growth across the Asia-Pacific region. As the Project Leader Intern for the UN Partnership initiative, you will play a pivotal role in building institutional bridges between ACA and UN agencies, missions, and civil society networks.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct research on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and identify alignment opportunities with ACA’s mission
Attend meetings and liaise with civil society representatives, UN personnel, and UN Missions
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of partnership-building events and high-level meetings
Draft briefing documents, policy memos, and partnership proposals
Coordinate logistics for ACA delegation participation in UN conferences and side events
Develop communication materials to promote ACA-UN collaboration across digital platforms
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or master’s program in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field
Strong interest in multilateral diplomacy, global governance, and U.S.-Asia relations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to engage confidently with UN staff, diplomats, and civil society members from around the world
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Previous experience with UN-related programs or international organizations is a plus
