Spread warmth and comfort to members of the community in need!
Volunteers will use fleece fabric to assemble tie blankets that will later be donated to nearby shelters. No prior experience is required—this opportunity is beginner-friendly, meaningful, and hands-on.
Upon arrival at Commuter Student Lounge (Room 645 at Steger Student Life Center), volunteers will check in and receive their materials along with a brief overview of the instructions. Volunteers may arrive anywhere between 10:00 Am to 1:00 PM so they have enough time to craft blankets. The event runs till 2:00 PM so all supplies must be returned before 1:50 PM.
How are volunteering hours determined?
Volunteer hours are based on the total time you spend working on the tie blankets.
Volunteer Warning Policy
Please follow all event rules, safety guidelines, and instructions from our volunteer team. Strike 1 will result in a warning. Strike 2 will result in removal from our volunteer services and ineligibility to volunteer with us in the future. Serious violations may result in immediate removal.
