The Community Action Team and Center for Community Engagement are helping to host Invest in Neighborhood's annual "Neighborhood Summit." We're looking for volunteers to help the event run smoothly. Volunteer duties include:
- Helping community members navigate campus, and find their way from parking garages to TUC and back
- Helping at the registration table
- Helping community members navigate the TUC building
- Supporting conference sessions as a "stand-by" volunteer
- Taking notes from conference sessions
- Taking pictures and video of the event
Invest in Neighborhoods works to empower community councils and their resident members, volunteers, and related community organizations to contribute to civic life and advance the quality of life in Cincinnati’s neighborhoods, by increasing capacities and competencies, assisting with resources, and promoting civic engagement. The Neighborhood Summit is THE annual event which brings together hundreds of community leaders and volunteers, city officials and non-profits in a day long series of seminars and workshops aimed at helping citizens work effectively together to improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods.
