When was the last time you had a civil dialogue with people you disagree with?
Join UC Votes for a nonpartisan Dinner & Dialogue on March 27th!
Date: March 27
Time: 5:30-7:30PM
Location: Streger 539 (where EPS used to be located/ where Family Weekend check in is located)
Topic: Immigration
Enjoy a shared meal and engage in meaningful conversation at our Dinner & Dialogue event. Dinner will begin promptly at 5:30 PM, providing an opportunity for participants to connect with one another.
At 6:00 PM, we’ll transition into a nonpartisan dialogue. A provocative statement related to immigration will be announced, and five volunteers from the audience will take a seat in designated chairs labeled by their stance: Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral/Undecided, Disagree, or Strongly Disagree. These panelists will share their perspectives on the statement, sparking a thoughtful discussion. Audience members will also have the chance to ask questions and share insights before we conclude the conversation.
Students from every political background are encouraged to participate. RSVPs are required and the event is limited to a maximum of 25 student participants. Please RSVP by March 24. After you RSVP through volunteer.uc.edu, you must also RSVP through GetInvolvedUC.
