Event Description:
Join us for a hike to participate in Audubon's 126th Christmas Bird Count. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced birder, you can help collect December bird species numbers for the longest-running community science survey in North America. Dress for the weather and prepare to walk on uneven trails and across fields.
Task:
We are looking for volunteers to serve as sweeps walking at the back of the group to ensure nobody gets separated while on the hike.
Dates Times and Location:
- Friday. December 14th, 9:30 am - 12:00 pm Sebald MetroPark (5580 Elk Creek Road, Middletown OH 45042)
Weather:
We will work through light rain but cancel for thunderstorms or severe weather. please check the forecast to ensure you all bring the necessary items and wear the proper clothing.
Accommodations:
The MetroParks may provide accommodation to volunteer project participants depending on the nature of the tasks. Any request must be sent directly to the Manager of Volunteer Resources at least two days before the project begins
