Mill Creek Alliance is working with Tristate Trails and the Common Orchard Project to plant a grove of edible fruit trees along an urban bike trail so all passers-by may enjoy fresh edible fruit trees. Historically warm temps predicted for a tree planting event on December 4th, 2022. 42 degrees in 2019, 44 degrees in 2020, 51 degrees in 2021, if the trend continues, it should be a gorgeous day for planting fruit trees. Join us at Freedom Tree Grove along the Mill Creek Greenway Trail at 3920 Ludlow Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45223. Help plant fruit trees so future travelers can enjoy the fruits of our labor while on the multi-use greenway trail in Northside. This Freedom Grove memorializes the thousands of men and women who escaped slavery and those that helped through the underground railroad. This grove of trees is a new legacy of hope and health for the Mill Creek valley.
