Hi! We are GlobeMed at UC, a social justice & non-profit organization on campus. We fundraise for a non-profit organization named Social Action for Children & Women (SAW) located in Mae Sot, Thailand. SAW provides education, housing, and health education to Burmese migrants & refugees fleeing the political crisis in Myanmar.
We will be writing hand-written letters to family/friends/faculty/mentors to ask for donations. The money will go directly to Burmese migrants & refugees living in rural Thailand to provide health education on topics such as family planning, reproductive health, and seasonal diseases.
We will be meeting on Sunday, November 19th from 2-4 pm at Scioto Lounge to write letters to our loved ones. Please support us in reaching our fundraising goals of $10,000+!
