About our Organization
UC Open School (UCOS) is a student run, inteprofessional intiative uniting students from the Colleges of Medicaine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physcial Therapy, and Dental Hygiene to provide free health education and services to the underserved communities across the Greater Cincinnati area. Our mission is rooted in health equity because everyone deserves access to quality care.
How our organization engages UC students
UCOS is hands on, interprofessional community health events and outreach. Students work side by side across disciplines to deliver free health screenings, educations, and wellness services to the underserved populations. We are proud to partner with Su Casa Hispanic Center of Cincinnati to bring culturally responsive care to the local Hispanic/Latino community, our newest and ongoing community partnership.
