Super Heroines, Etc.

In 2012, Carolyn Noe started a small Meetup group with the simple idea of connecting to other nerdy women in St. Louis. The early meetups were fun and informal, and the idea of Super Heroines, Etc. was born: bringing superheroines together to use their powers for good. Today, Super Heroines, Etc. is a joyful and inclusive non-profit organization that uses the power of fandom to fight for equity and representation. We gather superheroines in safe environments for empowering events, fostering educational opportunities, and inspiring creative change in their communities. As activists, we attend local, regional, and national conventions to discuss representation in the media and provide tools and support for Super Heroines Etc. to be agents of positive change.

We have volunteer opportunities for students who want to work behind the scenes on writing blog posts, marketing, data entry, etc. We also have an annual convention where we need volunteers to staff our check in table, etc.
