Radiant Ensembles

About our Organization

Our mission is to enrich the lives of individual musicians and community members through a shared love of music.

Radiant Ensembles envisions itself to be a catalyst for a thriving arts network that cultivates mentorship, connection, personal enrichment, and community impact.

Primarily, we work to connect high school and college music students with community resources and musicians to promote educational programming via non-traditional musical productions. In the past 5 years, we have grown solely from saxophone ensemble, with hopes to continue more community engagement and bring music to those who otherwise do not have access to it.

How our organization engages UC students

Ever since before we were a non-profit, we have had UC students volunteering their time to create social media content, advertise our events, arrange music, administrate operations, and develop soft skills not provided in a traditional music curriculum.

For the past five years, we have operated out of Fishers, Indiana. By partnering with Hamilton Southeastern High School, we’ve brought together musicians ages 16-35 together from across the midwest in pop-up music events. Out of our 80 volunteers, the largest majority resides at UC, specifically within CCM. Multiple students are bolstering their education while learning networking, marketing, communication, and other related skills.

On top of this, we are almost entirely student run, as we have been since we founded in 2023. Although we are a recognized 501(c)3, all of our students are volunteer based, with none being paid. We count on students to volunteer their time and incentivize those who help in our mission by continuing to keep them involved as we grow and providing them a voice in programming and outreach decisions.
