Rustic Hope

Rustic Hope is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Russia, Ohio, providing free, faith-based, and practical support to young women and families with children aged 12 and under. Founded by Connie McEldowney, it offers essential resources—diapers, food, clothes, and baby gear—through "The Shed," along with, counseling, and adoption support.

Rustic Hope engages UC students by giving them hands-on volunteer opportunities, such as helping organize and give out donations, assisting families in “The Shed,” and supporting programs for parents and children. This allows students to work directly with families in need and learn how community support impacts health and well-being.
