About our Organization

Afromeals Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities through food, culture, and education. Founded by Chef Gabi Odebode, the Foundation provides free cooking classes, nutritious meals, and nutrition education to children, youth, families, seniors, and foster care individuals in underserved communities. Our mission is to make healthy eating accessible and enjoyable while teaching essential life skills through hands-on cooking experiences. By combining cultural diversity with practical nutrition education, we help participants build confidence in the kitchen, develop healthier habits, and connect with their community through the joy of food. Through partnerships with schools, community centers, and local organizations, Afromeals Foundation continues to spread hope, knowledge, and nourishment . One meal, one class, and one family at a time.

How our organization engages UC students

We will be hosting free nutrition education and cooking class for low income communities in Cincinnati. We would also be cooking food and giving it out to individual in need. We feel UC students would help us in the process by helping to assist during the cooking classes or making and sharing of meals. We would also need UC students to help and volunteer as greeters or servers during our annual Gala's to raise money for the nonprofit.
