Found Village

Found Village is a Cincinnati-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people from hard places to reach their full potential. The organization works with teens in Hamilton County who have experienced significant trauma and utilizes a unique Foundational Trust Model to assess and address the gaps in standard social systems and family support. Found Village aims to rebuild foundational trust in youth who have faced abuse, neglect, or related traumas, connecting them with a community of relational resources. The organization focuses on long-term support, planning to work with teens until at least age 25, and is currently expanding its initiatives to include support for young people aged 17-25. Found Village has been selected to participate in Stand Together Foundation’s Catalyst Program, a management training and peer-learning program to help nonprofits grow, scale, and replicate their success.

Found Village utilizes volunteers in various ways to support their mission of empowering youth in the foster care system. Here are some of the ways volunteers can contribute: Mentoring: Volunteers can provide one-on-one mentoring to youth, helping them navigate challenges and build confidence. Coaching: Volunteers can assist with coaching programs that focus on discovery, stability, growth, and independence. After-School Activities: Volunteers can participate in after-school activities that support youth development and provide a sense of community. 1 Life Skills Training: Volunteers can help with life skills training, such as job readiness and financial literacy, which are crucial for youth's future success. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting Found Village's mission to transform the lives of youth in the foster care system. Their contributions help create a supportive environment where youth can thrive and develop the skills needed for a successful future.
